Although we have started our adoption journey in 2021, we now find outselves patiently waiting for birth parents to select us as their adoptiver parents. As a same-sex couple, we are quite limited with the international public adoption options available to us and therefore have persued private adoption. We recognize that as badly as we want to be parents, there is the chance that we do not get selected. It is with that in mind, that we have created this website, so that we can share with friends and family that our journey has been underway and hopes that word can spread until we are blessed with a long awaited addition to our family.
We are a married couple living in New Brunswick, Canada hoping to grow our family through adoption. We are "paper ready" meaning that we have taken all trainings and have maintained all necessary clearances. Now we wait for a birth family to match with us. Tom is an American citizien with Permenant Residency in Canada. Pierre is a native Canadian. On our first date we discussed how we both individually had decided that with all of the daily struggles in life, that felt that we could help a child and their birth family by providing them with the blessings we have in our life. We are open to all private adoption arrangements between families residing in the United States and Canada.
To us, being parents is not about seeing ourselves in a child’s physical traits, but rather in their actions. In a time when this world is filled with chaos and uncertainty, we know that we can provide security and love that so many children do not get to experience in their day to day lives. It is with this hope that we have decided to pursue adoption, rather than surrogacy. We are grateful that women can choose how to address unplanned pregnancy and we are grateful that you are considering adoption. We are open to discussions of all adoptions plans. Recognizing that through the adoption process, we want to ensure that there is absolute comfort with one another as we move through this process. July 4th 2000, we got married during the sunrise on the ocean surrounded by Tom's immediate family. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic (and international restrictions), Pierre's family could not join us in person on this day that we made our commitment to one another.
